8 Smooth Steps to Selling Your Home

If you're ready to sell your house, then it's time to get to work! Putting your house on the market takes a lot more than just sticking a "For Sale" sign in the front yard and adding some photos on the internet. We can meet in person or virtually (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.), whatever feels most comfortable to you. You can share what you love most about your home and neighborhood. Those details help us connect with future buyers.  Once we’ve established your priorities, we’ll schedule a walk-through of your property to create a customized plan. We’ll talk through what, if anything, should be done to prepare your home for the market.

2. Positioning and Pricing with Confidence

The right price starts with understanding both your needs and the market. We’ll review recent neighborhood sales, current listings, and local supply and demand together. My goal: to help you choose a price range that balances your financial goals with what today’s market will bear. You’ll always be in control, I’ll simply provide the data, insights, and options so you can decide confidently. This collaborative process keeps you fully informed and ensures we’re aligned from day one.

3. Preparing Your Home for Sale

Every home has a story. Our job is to make sure buyers see its best chapter. We’ll walk you through which updates or repairs bring the greatest return (and which can be skipped). Need painters, landscapers, or a contractor? I’ll recommend and manage trusted professionals for prep work and repairs. From light staging to full-service or Compass Concierge funding, we’ll tailor a plan to your comfort level and budget. You can stay as hands-on or hands-off as you wish. I’ll manage the project to keep things easy and stress-free.

4. Professional Photography and Video

My team and I will handle monitoring home inspections, appraisals, surveys, and title issues proactively to avoid surprises. My role: to reduce stress, anticipate obstacles, and keep your sale on track, from the contract to the closing.

7. Moving Day and Settlement

Monitoring the buyer’s financing progress to ensure we reach the finish line smoothly is another one of our jobs. Need movers, cleaners, or storage help? We can help you coordinate all of that. We’ll work with the title company to schedule your closing at a convenient time. You can choose to sign documents at the title company’s office, sign remotely with an online notary or have a mobile notary come to your home. You’ll always know what’s next, with no last-minute confusion.

8. Celebrate and Look Ahead

Once your home is sold it’s time to celebrate your success! We’ll review final documents together to make sure every detail is wrapped up. I’ll be there beyond the closing, whether you’re buying your next home, downsizing, or just settling into your next chapter.
